Fasels spring seminar list is out. These seminars are
held in the store on the dates indicated and are free of charge


We are also offering something new this spring... Workshops require a
small material fee to attend, but we send you home with cool gardening
stuff!

SPRING  SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS


Seminars  are offered to the public free of charge. Workshops require a
$13.00 material fee. All events are held in the store. Space is limited, so
reservations are suggested.
 

Seed
starting workshop
3/3
Saturday 10:00 am
Get  hands on experience and learn how to start your own seedlings! You will receive
3 packets of seeds of your choosing as well as materials and personal
instruction for starting 48 plants. There is a $13 material fee for this
workshop. 
 

Pruning
3/10 Saturday
10:00 am  
Learn  how to tame those overgrown bushes and rejuvenate tired plants. Find out how to
make your hydrangeas bloom with proper pruning. Play with different types of
pruners for yourself and see what kind works best for you.
 

Light
gardening and hydroponic gardening

3/10 Saturday 10:00 am
Learn  how to use grow lights to grow almost any plant indoors; including seed
starting, vegetables, herbs and houseplants. Also included in this class is an
introduction to hydroponics, the art of growing plants without soil, using only
water and nutrients. TWO CLASSES IN ONE!

ANYONE  can grow beautiful plants! Our modern lifestyles have deprived us of the basic
gardening skills that our ancestors had for generations. Get that knowledge back
and find out why grandma had a green thumb. Easy, simple, successful. Your
neighbors will wonder what your secret is. What you tell them is up to you.

 

Soil
test workshop
4/7  Saturday 10:00 am
Bring  in a 2 cup sample of your garden soil for testing and receive results that day!
Each participant will receive a soil test kit and hands on instruction for
testing ph, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Adjusting nutrient imbalances
will also be discussed. There is a fee of $13 for this workshop.
 

Landscape
design, small space gardening

One  of our landscape designers will talk about common design elements. Find out how
to get the most from your small spaces! We will also look at common  mistakes
and how to fix them.
